The Malawi government through the ministry of information has said it will support victims of the Future Tours bus accident which occurred in Ntcheu district on Saturday.

In a statement released on Sunday, minister of information Nicholas Dausi said government is to support the families that have lost their beloved ones in the accident which claimed 10 lives.

Dausi added that government is also to provide special medical treatment to people who got injured for their quick recovery.

“Government is sending sincere condolences to the families of our brothers and sisters who lost their lives during the accident yesterday.

“Government will do everything to support the victims including those that are admitted at Ntcheu, Balaka and Kamuzu Central Hospital, it is the wish of the government and every Malawian for them to have a quick recovery,” said Dausi.

He added that for those who have died, government will provide coffins and transport to take their bodies to their respective homes.

The Future Tours bus was reported to have overturned three times before resting on the ground after its left tire burst.
