Zimbabwean Prophet arrested for prophesying Mugabe will die in October

Zimbabwean cleric Prophet Patrick Mugadza has been arrested by the authorities for prophesying about the death of President Robert Mugabe this October.

Earlier in January, Prophet Mugadza ruffled a few feathers in Zimbabwe with his prophesy that President Mugabe would die on October 17th.

Mugadza said he received his prophecy directly from God while in the middle of prayers. He claimed that God revealed that 93-year-old President Mugabe, who has ruled his country since independence in 1980, world would not see the end of 2017:

I just want to tell you something concerning the year 2017. It is a very special year because of number SEVEN and at the same time also, 2017 collides with 37 years by which Zanu PF has been ruling this beautiful nation of Zimbabwe, but something is going to be happening also, which is very critical for us to know.

It was on the 26th of December 2016, when I was in prayer, and God said to me this coming year 2017 the president is dying and he told me that he is dying on 17th of October, like I said earlier on that I am not happy for somebody to die but this is something that is going to happen.

People may ask me if what he does not die. I do not know how much he believes in prayer, but he has to do something about this prophecy.

I would not want to force anyone to believe this, but I am just saying it because this is what God told me, so it is up to the individuals to believe if it is going to happen or not.”

The Kariba-based Prophet Mugadza submitted that Mugabe can only avert imminent death if he openly tells the public that he does not want to die.

      Know you’re a sinner
      Know that means you’re going to Hell forever
      Jesus is God, who was manifest in the flesh, who died on the cross – was buried – then bodily resurrected
      Believe that as the ONLY way to be saved. Not of works, repent of sin, baptism, live a good life, etc. ONLY via faith

  63. we don’t know whether the prophesy was from God or not cause we don’t have any mechanism to prove that. my fear is that what if it’s God ? won’t we be judged as fighting against him? my concern is how he delivered the prophesy. it could have been more appropriate if he followed government protocol and meet the president face to face cause this is what biblical prophets use to do cause this prophesy is directing to the president and not the general public.

    1. Actually, this is easy to spot as a false prophet…

      1) if God told him something, it is divine revelation – and would therefore HAVE to be added to the Bible. Would anybody add this to the Bible? No.

      2) The Bible is closed canon – meaning, that’s it. You cannot add to it. So you cannot add this “divine revelation” to it anyway. Revelation 22:18-19

      3) He is using numbers – that is numerology. That is not Biblical, that is Kabbalah. Evil!

      And this is of course besides the fact that if it doesn’t happen 100% the way he says it will, then it’s not a prophecy of God.

    1. Uh, where in the Bible does it say that? The end of Deuteronomy 18 speaks about false prophets, but it doesn’t say anything about rebuking bad news. Otherwise, would you rebuke Isaiah, Jeremiah? They were hardly prophets of prosperity, were they!

      If anything, read Isaiah 30:10-11 KJV.

      Meaning, there are plenty people who claim to do stuff in Jesus’s name, but they’re not. Like these TBN liars, TB Joshua, Shepherd Bushiri, you know those types; “look at me, I am doing this thing in Jesus’s name” – no they are not, they are liars and deceivers. Also plenty people think that they are Christians because they go to church, pay the Pastor, DOING things, but FAITH ALONE saves. They think they will be saved because they went to church and gave to charity but WORKS mean nothing.

    1. Mugabe is the perfect example of what the Bible calls a reprobate (Jeremiah 6:30, Proverbs 1:22-33, Hebrews 6, Romans 1). He hates God and shall burn in Hell. He is incapable of believing in Jesus to be saved by faith alone, he is too far gone.
