The birth of a talent uplifting record company in Malawi Fresh Arts Music Group (FAMG) has incited ululations as three up and coming artists are now under the record label.

The heavens have smiled on Bizzy B, Phrey Willz, and Phexado, the three artists to emerge signatories to the fresh record label. The up and coming three are said to have showed potential to reach greater heights if given proper financial support.

FAMG, owned by Ireland based Eric Barigeya and Harry Hashim, has come to give hope to the hopeless new artists. Having marked the genesis of promoting talent in style, the company promises great things.

The company’s country manager DJ Wayne of Dziko FM confirmed the development on Wednesday last week. He said the company will be financing the signed artists’ projects ranging from studio work to promotion of the work.

“As of now I can confirm that the paperwork has been done and more music will be released before the end of the month,” said DJ Wayne

He added: “We are looking forward to working with young artists with hidden talent.”

Having made the signings, the company will soon embark on promotion of Bizzy B’s video which features Kell Kay as well as Phexado’s Kamafuna Ndikale, one of the first songs to be promoted by Malawi24 last year.

The other artist, Phrey Willz, is in a video project with Martse which will be released next year under the auspices of FAMG.

The new company emerges when Malawi’s music industry is in dire need of music promoters. Up and coming artists have for long been neglected as most record labels go for already famous artists.
