The capital city Lilongwe was painted white as the Cockpit night club of Sogecoa Golden Peacock Hotel played host to a party organised by Carlsberg dubbed “the all white party.”

The event which had South Africa’s celebrity disk joker and producer, Ganyani, as guest, lived up to expectations as it attracted an impressive patronage. With attendees enjoying Carlsberg Chill, it did not take long before enthusiasm engulfed the hall thereby filling the night with fun.

It was all white!

By 8PM the sound system was fully connected for DJ Ganyani to do his magic. When the club started accommodating patrons dressed in all white for the show to start, dance music had been established as the language for the night.

Men and women shared the moment that they could not help but picture it through lens of cameras. While some were dancing, others talked the night out with only jovial mood being the common grounds among the attendants.

Speaking in an interview with Malawi24 after the event, one of the patrons Mphatso Phiri saluted Carlsberg for organising the party. She said this was her main highlight of the year.

“Carlsberg rocks! And they deserve a credit for this all white party, if someone doesn’t feel likewise then I bet that one has a problem. I have attended different entertainment events but I must say this is my main highlight in 2016,” she said.

Most of those who attended shared a claim that Carlsberg gave them a value for their money. Unlike other poorly organised events, the all white party outsmarted them as it was controversy and violence free.

This was the second party of that nature in the country as Ryalls Hotel in Blantyre was the first to host it in the first half of this year. Organisers felt treating the capital to the same Carlsberg Chill experience as they did with Blantyre.

Having given Malawi the best of entertainment, Carlsberg has promised to come back with more next year. According to the company, this should be considered the beginning of great things to come in 2017.
