Hip hop artist Gwamba will launch his debut gospel album “Jesus is my boss” on 24th December at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) amidst high expectations of filling the hall to capacity.

The Lilongwe based artist switched from secular to gospel early this year having announced on New Year’s Day about his historic move. Unlike other artists who dumped secular for gospel, Gwamba’s fan base has remained loyal.

Jesus is my Boss launch has a menu which includes local gospel legend Ethel Kamwendo Banda and mistaken for a woman Thocco Katimba as supporting acts. Other artists on the line up of performers on the night are Emmq, Onesimus and James Nee.

Gwamba has a surprise for patrons, a guest artist who will only be revealed at the event. Attendees are expected to enjoy the performances in what promises to be a stylish way to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ that falls on 25th December.

The album contains collaborations with some of the country’s major musicians including Maskal, Dan Lu, and Classic. It also involves award winning producers on both audios and visuals.

Some of the songs that gives the collection an identity are Gwamba’s first track since turning to gospel Better, a BFB production that features Emmq and Tammy, Nzeru which was produced by DJ Sley and features Maskal, and not forgetting Heaven, a song that features Emmq and Classic of the Home Grown African.

A grand launch is expected as the gospel rapper’s journey in spreading the word of God continues. A conclusion as to whether the artist has made a bright start in the ministry will only be made based on the turnout.
