Devotion: We labour for the gospel

Php 4:3 “And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.”

When you want to be involved in the gospel of Jesus, you must accept to be a labourer not an Executive officer. A labourer doesn’t make decisions, he is told what to do by his superior. In the same way, we take every instruction from the Holy Spirit as to what to do in the filed of the Lord. We work according to his program and not according to our convenient program. Sometimes he can send you to undesirable places to minister to some undesirable people, just obey him because you are a labourer. We take pride in obeying our master. We are glad because our names are in the book of life.

God’s word.

God Himself also Works and he wants to show us that we should work. He relates with us and calls us his fellow workers. He leads by example.

2Co 6:1 “We then, as workers together with God, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.”

Then He takes the duty watching over us. He doesn’t sleep nor slumber. He wants us also to do the same noble job of watching over others through prayer and ministering of the Word. He wants us to win souls and prevent people from going to Hell. What a good God, He leads by example.

Psa 121:4 “Behold, He that protects Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”

Eze 33:7 “So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.”

Win souls today and pray for your nation, city, village and family. Be a watchman to them and warn them in advance for the hour of judgment that is coming.

Every labourer receives a reward (1Tim 5:18). It’s a noble job to do it together with the master. Don’t delay its your turn if you haven’t started.

As long as there is someone who is not a Born Again, you can pray for them and minister the Gospel.

Prayer
Dear father, thank you for making me a coworker together with you. I take pride in being associated with you Abba Father because of this Work. Every day I will do this work and will also watch over what you have given me to watch over. In Jesus Name. Amen.
