“So as Muslims we thought it wise to take part and we organised ourselves to visit the sick at KCH. Islam teaches us to give so we bought assorted items such as soap to give children patients who are in need at the hospital,” He added.

Commenting on why they choose KCH among all hospitals in Lilongwe, Kamwana said that this is a central hospital meaning that it accommodates all patients from the central region.

“KCH is the most important hospital that people rely from all districts in central region so we thought it wise to help those people from other districts,” He said.

One of the guardians at the hospital commended the students for the donation saying that this will at least sustain their living standards as they are still caring for their sick children at the hospital.

The students donated washing soap, sugar and bathing soap among others.
