One of Malawi’ womens football export Tabitha Chawinga has been nominated in two categories in the Swedish League end of the season awards.
She has been nominated for 2016 Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and the best forward award.
The Kvarnsvedens_IK forward has been in top form in the just ended season scoring 15 goals in 21 matches in her first season in Sweden’s top flight league.
The 20 year old was very instrumental for her side’ promotion into the top flight last season where she scored 43 goals in 26 matches.
She has been nominated alongside the first and second top scorers Pernille Harder and Stina Blackstenius both from Linkoping FC.
Her current club finished on position 9 and she is the only nominee whose side has finished outside the top three in the standings.
