Tributes pour in for Revolver as he gets buried today

Malawians continue to mourn the untimely demise of hip hop artist Revolver who died on Saturday, as he walks the last mile later today.

Born Kenneth Muwamba in 1989, the rapper died on Sunday having succumbed to cancer.

His death has attracted messages coated with emotions from the music fraternity.

Renowned video director, Ron CZ, who was also Revolver’s friend led the creative industry in expressing sorrow over the loss.

He wrote on his Facebook page that only God can comfort him considering how close he was to the fallen hero. He added, the world knew the deceased as Revolver but he knew him as Kenneth his best friend.

The videographer’s sentiments came shortly after his other friend, Chavura, who was Revolver’s partner in Trap Squad broke the sad news on Facebook.

The social media has been awash with condolence messages, as Malawian artists continue to mourn the fallen Trap Squad leader. The country’s upcoming and established musicians have been uploading the deceased picture with an attachment of a farewell message in caption.

Up coming musicians, Innocent Phexado Mlinga, Crispy Mw, Weexy Chawinga were among the first to express sorrow over Facebook.

A number of established artists have also used different social media platforms in mourning.

Rapper Krayzie G yesterday described Revolver as a man with a formula. The legendary Barry One said the late Sindidanda hitmaker was a soldier whose death leaves a gap.

Hip hop king Third Eye also sent a message of condolence to the Muwamba family for the loss, in an emotional message that was read on radio 2 FM’s Made on Monday program hosted by Joy Nathu. He acknowledged Muwamba’s contributions in local hip hop.

Malawias who support Liverpool football club in England have also mourned the hero who was also a fanatic of the same team. Supporters, Andy Suarez Magombo and Ofwa Bienvenue Sibakwe on Sunday described the late artist as a true soccer analyst who was always objective.

As he will be laid to rest today at HHI Cemetery in Blantyre, Malawi24 deeply regrets the loss. May the late Revolver’s Soul rest in peace.
