TNM Super League round up; Bullets, Mafco, KB, Eagles still unbeaten at home

Four teams in the 16 member TNM Super League are yet to lose a match at home after week 26 of Super League action.

The four, 2015 Tnm Super League champions Nyasa Big Bullets, Kamuzu Barracks, Blue Eagles, and leaders Mafco fc are yet to suffer a loss at home this season.

So far 431 goals have been scored by the 16 Super League teams out of the 186 games which have been played in the league.

Salima based military side Mafco fc forward Richard Mbuli is leading the scorers chart with 17 goals to his credit whereas Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets forwards Peter Wadabwa who has 14 goals and Chiukepo Msowoya with 13 are second and third respectively.

KB (In White) also have the impressive record.

Bright Munthali of Azam Tigers is the only player who has managed to score five goals in a single match whereas Maxwell Salambula of Blue Eagles is the only player to have bagged two hat tricks.

Richard Mbulu of Mafco F.C, Khumbo Msowoya of Karonga United, Gastin Simkonda of Moyale, Anthony Banda of Epac F.C and Peter Wadabwa of Be Forward Wanderers have a single hat trick each.

Defenders Stevie Msiska of Karonga United and Stevie Chagoma of Blue Eagles hold the unfortunate statistic of scoring into their own nets.

So far, 431 cards have been flashed with 24 being red cards whereas 407 are yellow cards. With 8 yellow cards to his name, Timothy Chitedze of Silver Strikers has the worst disciplinary record.

But among the clubs, Mzuni F.C have been given the most cards in the Tnm Super League having received 42 followed by Red Lions and Epac F.C with 36 cards each.

On the other hand, Rookies Dwangwa United (16) and MTV Max Bullets (14) have the least cards.

So far, MTV Max Bullets are the only side to have forfeited points in the Malawi elite league after they failed to show up for their away assignment in Dwangwa last weekend.

Currently, Salima based soldiers Mafco fc are comfortably leading the log table with 44 points from 23 matches whereas Silver Strikers are second with 43 points from 23 match.

The 2015 champions Nyasa Big Bullets and Blue Eagles are tied on 42 points but Bullets are ranked third on a superior goal deference.

The top scorers list is as followers; 17 goals: Richard Mbulu (Mafco F.C), 14 goals: Peter Wadabwa (Be Forward Wanderers), 13 goals: Chiukepo Msowoya (Nyasa Big Bullets), 12 goals: Manasseh Chiyesa (Kamuzu Barracks), 10 goals: Bright Munthali (Azam Tigers) and Lughindiko Mushani (Mzuni F.C), 9 goals: Maxwell Salambula (Blue Eagles), 8 goals: Anthony Banda (Epac F.C), Kuda Muyaba (Moyale) and Gilbert Chirwa (Blue Eagles).
