In a quest to ensure that there is tight security as the festive season approaches, police in Limbe have arrested 73 suspects in a sweeping exercise.
According to Assistant public relations Officer Widson Nhlane, the sweeping exercise was conducted on 25 October.
Nhlane said the suspects were arrested for committing various offenses such as rogue vagabond, theft, robbery with violence, theft by trick and operating a businesses without licence.
He added that the exercise is an ongoing one to make sure that there is security as we are approaching the end of the year.
The 73 suspects will appear before court soon to answer charges levelled against them.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers are advising the general public to report a nearby police station any criminals causing havoc in their respective residential areas.
