Central region FISD challenge cup champions LAKE Valley found themselves outmatched as Yasin Osman’s side showed no lack of pace and attacking aggression at Civo stadium to reach into the quarter finals of the Fisd Challenge Cup.
Two goals from Peter Wadabwa and a goal each from Jabulani Linje, Mike Kaziputa, and Khumbo Ng’ambi were enough for Mighty Wanderers to book a date with Zolozolo United in the quarter finals of the Fisd challenge cup.
The match started on a higher note but it was the Nomads who showed no mercy from the word go as they were dominating possession and attacked in numbers.
Wadabwa opened the score line inside the opening 10 minutes of the first half after the Lake valley defence was caught napping in the line of duty.
A few minutes later Wadabwa was celebrating once again when he bagged the Nomads second goal of the match and the first half ended 2 nil in favour of the Nomads.
After the break the Nomads come in with fresh ideas as they kept on dominating the proceedings at Civo stadium and from that angle it looked that Mighty Be forward Wanderers will decorate their Fisd Challenge party with a riot.
Minutes after the recess Linje increased the Nomads lead when he bagged the Nomads third goal of the match to completely put the game beyond the reach of Abbas Makawa side.
Midway through the second half Kaziputa scored Nomads fourth before substitute Khumbo Ng’ambi completed the riot at Civo stadium in Lilongwe.
After the match Lake Valley coach Abbas Makawa conceded defeat whereas Nomads coach Yasin Titch Osman thanked his boys for the win.
Mighty Be forward Wanderers will meet Zolozolo fc in the quarter finals.
