Malawi24 Lens: Malawians pay tributes to Gwanda Chakuamba

Thousands of Malawians on Wednesday and Thursday paid their last respects to veteran politician Gwanda Chakuamba at Comesa Hall in Blantyre where his body was lying in state for public viewing.

Chakuamba died aged 82 on Monday.

He died after a heightened heart attack. He will be laid to rest tomorrow in Nsanje.

His body was lying in state at Comesa Hall for two day public viewing.

Prominent faces like former President Bakili Muluzi, Deputy Speaker Esther Mcheka Chilenje were present on the first day.
