Azam Tigers technical director Robbin Alufandika says lack of experience in the team’s players is the core reason the team is struggling in the second round of the TNM Super league.

A recent result for the Kau Kau boys was a goalless draw against Nyasa Big Bullets last Sunday.

Alufandika was speaking this after his team was held to a goalless draw against Bullets in a match they dominated.

Tigers lack experience.

After looking so comfortable for most of the game, Azam Tigers have been kicking themselves for not scoring a goal on several counterparts on Sunday.

Tigers produced a fine home performance against their opposition  who never looked anywhere near as impressive as their reputation suggested they would be.

Alufandika told reporters in a post-match interview that his team played very good football for the entire 90 minutes of the match but unfortunately lack was not on their side as they failed to put the ball into the back of the net.

“We played very good football but lack of experience is one of the reasons why Tigers are finding it hard to put the ball into the back of the net in most of their games,” he said.

They sit on position 9 with 31 points from 22 matches.

Azam Tigers next game is against Be forward Wanderers at Kamuzu stadium on Sunday.
