Malawi’s President Vice Saulos Chilima has today left for the Vatican, Rome, Italy for a day long visit.
According to a statement signed by Vice President Press Secretary Pilirani Phiri upon his arrival tomorrow on October 26, Chilima will attend the General Audience at the Vatican where they will also greet the Holy Father, Pope Francis.
According to the statement Dr. Chilima will later the same day meet His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State.
“During the meeting, Dr. Chilima will extend an invitation from His Excellency, Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of Malawi, for Pope Francis to visit Malawi.” Reads the statement.
The Vice President returns home on Thursday, October 27 according to the statement.

God cares Mr vice president. I’m sure has gone their on personal religious reasons. I don’t think it has something to do with the government. Dr. Chilima is a devoted Catholic so there nothing strange for him to pay visit to the Church leader. Take note that pope is just a servant of God and cannot & will never be worshipped. Nobody in Catholic church worships him. He is only the leader of the church world wide.
People are crazy, every church has got a leader whether be the pastor, Bishop, Priests others prophets. When someone says I am going to meet the Pastor, Bishop or Prophet then does it mean that he/ she is going to worship the Pastor?
