A 25 year-old man in Blantyre has committed suicide by hanging himself to a branch of a tree.
According to assistant Public Relations Officer for Limbe police Widson Nhlane, the deceased has been identified as Ben Christopher who was staying alone in his house at Chipanda village in Blantyre.
“The deceased was staying alone in his house and he committed suicide on 19 September this year,” said Nhlane.
He added that people found the man hanging from the tree on Monday and they reported the matter to police.
Officers went to the scene and took the body to Queen Elizabeth Central hospital.
The deceased hailed from Chipanda village, Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre.
