…out of action for two weeks

Nyasa Big Bullets first choice goalkeeper Ernest Kakhobwe will be out of action for the next two weeks after suffering a leg injury whilst on duty with the Flames.

The shot-stopper completed Wednesday’s match at the Kamuzu Stadium against Wizards FC despite the injury but was absent during his side’s 4-1 demolition of Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday afternoon.

And now, the former Azam Tigers and Mighty Wanderers goalkeeper is in POP and has been told to stay out of action for the next two weeks.

It has been reported that Kakhobwe got injured just a day before Flames’s 2017 Afcon match against Swaziland. Kakhobwe joins Vincent Gona, Bashir Maunde and John Lanjesi who are also sidelined to long term injuries.

The development leaves Bullets with Chimwemwe Kumkwawa as the only fully fit shot-stopper.

Bullets had registered three goalkeepers just before the start of the new season but Owen Chaima secured a move to Mbeya FC of Tanzania, leaving the club with Kakhobwe and Kumkwawa.
