Bernard Chimaimba’s strike inspired Premier Bet Wizards F.C to a hard fought 1-nil victory over struggling Civo Service United in a league match played at MDC Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The rookies were coming from a disappointing 2-nil defeat to Big Bullets on Wednesday at Kamuzu Stadium but showed resilience as they piled more misery on Charles Manda’s boys.

Being the first Super League match at the venue this season, Peter Mponda’s boys meant business as they controlled possession in the first half but lacked the finishing composure in front of goals. They had to force the victory in the second half through Chimaimba who has just recovered from an injury.

  1. Civo seem to have a lot of troubles, we were wondering that you sacked Jegwe on the premise that he was not performing, but alas!!! the guy is brilliant only that he was not assisted by the executive, so now its Mandas’ turn, what is your say on this?
