Thugs steal pens, computers from primary school

Thugs on Thursday invaded Nayizi Primary in Bangwe Township in Blantyre and stole various items including pens and computers, Malawi24 can report.

crime (2)According to Assistant Public Relations Officer Widson Nhlane, the thugs attacked two guards at the school before breaking into the headmaster and TDC’s offices.

”Thugs have invaded Nayizi Primary school on Bangwe on 8 September and broke into the headmasters and TDC offices,” said Nhlane.

He added that the robbers managed to go away with various items including 6 computers sets, 27 cartons of sunshine soap, 3 boxes of ball point pens, hard covers and K42,000 cash.

The stolen items plus cash are all worth K2.7 million.

Meanwhile police in the district have launched investigations to arrest the culprits and recover the items.
