The county’s home entertainment provider Gotv Malawi has unveiled the R’n’B singer Lawrence Khwisa popularly known as Lulu as its brand ambassador for one year.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at Area 23 in Lilongwe on Saturday, Gotv sales manager Vyness Simbi said Lulu will help in promoting the Gotv brand.
“Lulu is one of the great artists in Malawi and we want to promote local art and also reaching to our customers by his art,” said Simbi.
On his part, Lulu applauded the company for choosing him as the ambassador and urged the youth in the country to be inspired by him.
“I grew up in ghetto where many young people are addicted to smoking and drinking, what I can encourage them is that they should take an example of me, now I am a Gotv ambassador and big musician in the country,” he said.
Lulu is one of Malawi’s award winning artists and he has performed in other countries across the world.
