…Mzuni dates Blue Eagles

The second round of the 2016 Super League kicks off this afternoon in all the three regions of Malawi with some exciting fixtures.

First round pace setters Blue Eagles are in Mzuzu for their ultimate test against Mzuni FC at Mzuzu Stadium.

Without Gilbert Chirwa, Maxwell Salambula and Steve Chagoma, the area 30 Cops will face a resilient side aiming to reduce the gap between the two sides

Both teams finished their first round games on a very high note, with Eagles thumping Wizards FC 6-nil while the Green Intellectuals taught Mighty Wanderers some footballing lessons by beating them 4-2 at their own backyard.

In other second round opening fixtures, Civo Service United will play host to Epac FC while Azam Tigers welcomes Moyale Barracks at Kalulu Stadium.

On Monday, struggling defending league champions Big Bullets will be hosted by rookies Wizards FC at Kamuzu Stadium while their rivals Wanderers will travel to Zomba to play Red Lions at Zomba Community Centre Ground.

At Silver Stadium, second placed Silver Strikers will play host to Max Bullets who are currently anchoring the table with 7 points after managing to register a single victory in the first round.

In other fixtures, there will be a battle of rookies between Karonga United and Dwangwa United at Mzuzu Stadium whilst Kamuzu Barracks will play host to Mafco FC at Civo Stadium.

This is the final round where the relegation battle will reach its boiling point and where the battle for the championship will intensify.
