Having gone for a recess for a fortnight, the second round of Malawi’s TNM Super league starts next week,officials say.
According to the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) the opening matches will start on 3rd September.
This is because the Malawi national football team, will face Swaziland in the last match of the Afcon 2017 qualifiers on 4th September, a race the Flames already saw the exit door.
In the opening matches, Azam Tigers face Mzuzu militants Moyale Barracks on 3rd September at Kalulu Stadium in Chikwawa.
On the same day, Mzuni F.C will rock horns with league leaders Blue Eagles at Mzuzu Stadium.
Inform Civo United will play host to Epac F.C at Civo Stadium.
There will be no matches on Sunday, 4th September, a day the Flames play Swaziland at Kamuzu Stadium.
Come Monday there will be up to five matches across the nation.
Be Forward Wanderers will be entertained by Red Lions at the Zomba Community Centre Ground.
Wizards F.C host Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium on the same day with rookies Karonga United playing fellow struggling side Dwangwa United at Mzuzu Stadium.
In other matches on Monday, Kamuzu Barracks will meet Mafco F.C at Civo Stadium.
Second placed side Silver Strikers play host to bottom bound side MTV Maxi Bullets.
Blue Eagles finished the first round on position 1 with 32 points followed by Silver Strikers on position 2 with 29 points from 15 Super League matches whereas Mafco F.C finished the first round on position 3 with 28 points.
Silver Strikers registered 9 wins, 4 defeats and 3 draws
MTV Maxi Bullets, Dwangwa United, and Karonga United are at the bottom of the table.
