Revealed: LUANAR students on Adele cover
Final year students at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) are behind Chichewa rendition of Adele’s Hello, Malawi24 has established.
The students Joe Kells and Mad Alley contextualized the English singer’s undisputed hit early this year.
They worked with capital city based up and coming producer Dkez Walker whose magic on production did not disappoint.
Speaking to Malawi24 yesterday, Chief Executive Officer of the company to which the singers are signed to, Thomas Siveliwa made the revelation.
He added that the project was concluded early this year but is yet to find space on music sites which will happen soon.
“The song was done by Joe Kells and Mad Alley, Bunda final year students. It was released early this year and it continues to circulate up to date,” said Siveliwa
According to Siveliwa, Joe Kells was the first to be signed by his company as Zane before changing his moniker. Then his longtime partner, Mad Alley joined him a few weeks later.
Joe Kells and Mad Alley whose real names are Jonathan Pangani and Madalitso Chipheni respectively, are currently in the process of making visuals for the cover.
