Justice Maxon Mbendera Funeral

Thousands of Malawians thronged HHI Cemetery in Blantyre where Justice Maxon Mbendera who was until his death Chairperson of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) was laid to rest on Saturday.

Mbendera who also served as Supreme Court of Appeal Judge died on Thursday shortly after admission at Lilongwe Private Clinic.

He hailed from Ntcheu district. He was born on November 4, 1958.

Mbendera was appointed Mec Chairperson on October 10 2012 and his four year term was due to end on October 9 2016

    1. Very wonderful, what makes me happy according to his death is that he has gone to be with the lord in heaven because he accepted Jesus as his only personal saviour, may his soul rest in internal peace! amen!
