Bullets held to 0-0 draw
Nyasa Big Bullets were held to a frustrating goalless draw in their 2016 Super League first round match on Sunday afternoon at Chitowe stadium in Nkhotakota.
The match started on an impressive note but it was Dwangwa United who dominated the first stages of the match with Jack Chiona coming closest after he was put through but he wasted his chance.
Nyasa Big Bullets captain Chiukepo Msowoya had Bullets’ best chance in the second half having got behind the Dwangwa United defence, but his shot went wide of the net.
The 2015 Super League champions dominated the latter stages of the match but still more they could not find the winner.
The result means Nyasa Big Bullets have finished this season’s Tnm Super League first round on position 6 with 25 points from 15 matches and they are one position above their rivals Mighty Be forward Wanderers who have finished on position 7.
Bullets coach Franco Ndawa has decisions to make again for his side’s Carlsberg Cup quarterfinal clash against Mafco fc which will be played during the week. The winner of the match will play Silver Strikers in the semifinals.
