Nkhotakota man stabbed on his way for morning prayers

He was on his way to thank his Creator but on his way laid a trap and now he is in agony.

Mr Ainani Namandwa who is a Muslim by religion has been stabbed by an arrow in the wee hours of Monday when he went to attend morning prayers at a local Mosque.

According to Nkhotakota Police Public Relations Officer Sub Inspector Williiams Kaponda, an unknown person used a sharp arrow to stab the victim from the back to abdomen.

“The victim called for help and village headman Mussa who was also going to attend the same prayers found him battling with life,” said Kaponda.

The victim is currently at Saint Anne’s Private Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

The victim hails from Malengachanzi Village, Senior Chief Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota district.
