Terribe! Malawian man rapes his 5 year old stepdaughter

Malawi Police officers in Mangochi district are keeping in custody a 28 year-old man for raping his five year-old stepdaughter.

Mangochi Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Amina Daudi said the man who cannot be named sexually abused the girl when the victim’s mother was at the hospital to receive treatment.

According to Daudi, the mother left the young girl playing with her friends and at that time her husband was at M’baluku village where he repairs bicycles.

RapeWhen the mother came back home from the hospital she found the child crying and also looking depressed. After the woman asked the child why she was crying, the little girl revealed that her stepfather had forced himself on her.

The victim’s mother called her neighbour and together they checked the girl’s private parts where they found semen and bruises.

Later on the mother reported the matter to Mangochi Police Station and the victim was referred to Mangochi District Hospital for medical examination. Medical results confirmed that the girl had been raped.

The rapist pleaded guilty and he will appear in court soon to answer the charge of defilement contrary to section 138(1) of penal code.

The rapist comes from Traditional Authority Liwonde in Machinga.
