Malawian short film up for international award

A short film about a Malawian Video Editor and DJ who does not have hands is among the finalists for the “Focus on Ability” (FOA) international short firm awards in Australia.

The film titled “See me See Me Abilities” is a story of 28 year-old Sautso Ndalama, a trusted video editor and club DJ who   uses his feet and legs.

Mcdonald Nyirenda who is “See Me See Abilities” filmmaker urged Malawians to vote for the film because a win will help Ndalama achieve his goals.

“Voting for his film, you will help Sautso achieve his dream of establishing and owning quality video studio,” said Nyirenda.

Award winning director DJ Drew who was one of last year’s judges at the award hailed the short films and documentaries saying: “they break down the barriers for people with disability to participate fully in society, mainly through encouraging viewers to shift their perspective.”

The Malawian film is titled “See Me See Abilities” then click vote.  Upon clicking vote you will be taken to enter your details on a voting window. In state space type the same in Suburb /town space (if you are in Malawi). For Postal Zip, type +265. Put a space in the email address space, provide email address that you own, then click submit vote button.

Once you have submitted go to your email inbox and open the email sent from “Focus on Ability” and click the link to verify your vote so that it is counted.
