Malawi Crime: Two workers arrested for stealing from their boss

Malawi Police officers in Ntchisi district are keeping in custody two people for stealing millions from their employer.

The two stole K2 million from their Tanzanian boss on Sunday at Mwansambo Trading Centre.

crime (2)Police Public Relations Officer for Ntchisi Police station seargent Gladson M’bumpha identified the suspects as 31 year-old Daniel Mazaza and 34 year-old Gideon Banda.

Police investigations revealed that the suspects were employed by Frank Mangula as buyers to be buying groundnuts at Mwansambo Trading Centre.

But the suspects failed to account for two million kwacha meant for buying groundnuts after being questioned by their employer.

The matter was later reported to police who arrested the suspects. Meanwhile, police investigations are underway and the suspects will appear in court soon to answer charges of theft by servant.

Mazaza hails from Mkaonje village T/A Mwansambo in Nkhotakota district whilst Banda hails from Mdongo village T/A Nthondo in Ntchisi district.
