Devotion: Be faithful in little

Luk 16:10-11 KJV “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?.”

Are you desiring for more? Then be faithful with the little you have. First prove that you can handle little or less and then much and bigger will be entrusted to you.

You want a better job, be faithful with your current one. Prove that you can handle a bigger post while you still have a small one. You want to grow your business, ministry or anything else, then be faithful with the current people you are dealing with. You want big monies, learn to invest in the kingdom of God the current money you are getting. Prove that you are  faithful with money.

In Matthew 25:14-31, we read the parable of the men who were entrusted with talents (or money). One was given five talents, traded them and doubled what he had; one was given two talents and gained two more; but the one with one talent dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

To the first two, the master spoke these words, “Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things, enter into the joy of your master” (Matthew 25:21 and Matthew 25:23).

In verses Matthew 25:24-28, you can read what he said to the one who buried his money, but we see the conclusion in verse 29, “For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.”  God rewards those who are faithful with the small things and faithful in that which they have been given. For the unfaithful, they loose even the smallest they had.

Therefore make up your mind that you will handle with diligence what you currently have so that more will be added unto you.

Confession

I am a faithful servant able to handle the small or little so that much I entrusted to me. . What ever my Master tells me to handle, I will never fail.. In Jesus Name. Amen
