Dapp, which runs education and health projects in country, has received billions from the UK, EU and UNICEF. An investigation undertaken by the BBC found that DAPP Malawi has been sending the aid meant for Malawi to Teachers Group, whose leaders are on Interpol’s most wanted list.

It is believed the suspects are hiding in Mexico where they lead a lavish lifestyle.

Meanwhile, the disgraceful behaviour by DAPP has forced the UK, UNICEF and others who were financing its activities in Malawi to suspend the aid, leaving thousands of its beneficiaries who were cheated in destitute.

Malawi government is yet to issue criminal charges against those responsible for this form of cashgate at the DAPP’s country office.
