Malawi Police shoot dead two car robbers

Police in Blantyre have shot dead two armed robbers  who hijacked a Toyota Fortuner at gunpoint from a woman in the city.

Confirming the development, Southern Region Police spokesperson James Kadadzera said the robbers who were four in number blocked the way for the woman as she was about to enter the gate of her house in Nyambadwe in the city. They then forced the lady to surrender the vehicle by threatening to kill her. police

“Actually we got a message from a lady who reported that armed robbers blocked her as she was entering on her gate where she resides, she surrendered the vehicle and reported to us,” said Kadadzera.

The police officers managed to find the vehicle within an hour but the robbers started firing at the law enforcers and a shootout ensued.

“In the process two were killed and their remains are now being kept at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital while the other two managed to escape,” said Kadadzera.

Police are yet to identify the dead robbers but said they are still hunting for the two who got away.

You know albino killers and you dont alert the police, what should the police do? It doesnt matter about my thinking capacity/capability but am a man who loves and understands the security class and duties of security personels in my country !! I know how robers have caused problems and just two weeks ago my neigbour’s car got driven by thieves in his eyes @ blantyre shoprite and he couldnt even scream cz they pointed a pistol on his forehead and now the police have knocked their heads of among those another person comes and blame the police,blames Malawi. By the way have you come across section 23 subsection 2 about human rights and section 158 subsection 1? You blame Malawi when you are in that country,when you call yourself Malawian why?
