Black Missionaries’ Kuimba 10 DVD launch dates changed

The Blantyre based reggae band will not be launching the much awaited DVD for their latest album Kuimba 10 as planned due to circumstances beyond the band’s control, Malawi24 can report.

The reggae family was supposed to launch the DVD next month in a countrywide tour.

The journey was going to begin at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on 7th August before Robins Park in Blantyre witnessed its climax on 12th August.

The northern city of Mzuzu was going to be the setting for the final episode on 14th August.

Cream company which is working in conjunction with Carlsberg Malawi to make the launch happen, has decided to move what could be August’s remarkable phenomenon forward. The action has been taken following an issue that has affected the whole process.

Chief Executive Officer for Cream Company, Timothy Adrian Chikoti revealed to Malawi24 the problem behind the postponement. He said they were informed by the Black Missionary’s lead singer, Mr Anjiru Fumulani that the DVD project was yet to be finalised.

“After the proceeding that Cream had with Carlsberg, we have decided to postpone the dates of the show. The reason behind this development is that the media team in South Africa didn’t finalise the DVD project as was scheduled,” said Chikoti

The DVD was supposed to be concluded by mid-July but the team’s failure to move at the same pace with the clock has led to the change of plans.

According to Chikoti they will go on with the launch in the dying days of September should the project get concluded in August.

Kuimba 10 is parked with sweet reggae sounds that includes an anthem, Tizingocheza. With audios making noise in busy places, Malawians are expecting great visuals from the album.
