Thugs in South Africa on Saturday brutally killed a Malawian man who was living in Cape Town in the country.
The deceased has been identified as Chifundo Abudu, 23.
According to another Malawian living in South Africa M’balaka Zoimbaimba, Abudu was stabbed to death when he was on his way from work to his home.
“Thugs demanded money from him but he didn’t give them because he had no money,” said M’balaka.
The thieves then produced a knife and stabbed the deceased until he died.
“He was badly beaten that is why we have failed to send the corpse to Malawi,” said M’balaka.
The deceased was together with his friend who was also badly injured and has been admitted at Cape Town Hospital.
The remains of late Abudu were laid to rest at Grasspark Cemetery in Cape Town, South Africa. The deceased hailed from Kamange village, Traditional Authority Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota.
