There is more fun already in the Carlsberg Cup with capital city rivals, Silver Strikers and Civo United drawn together in a key match after the national draw was held on Friday in Blantyre.

The Central bankers will host the Civil servants in what promises to be another epic and mouth-watering fixture this campaign.

In a draw that was held live on MBC TV on Friday evening, another key match will see Wizards FC hosting heavyweights Blue Eagles.

Karonga United have set themselves a tough one as they were drawn against Moyale Barracks, a match that will surely mesmerise fans in the Northern region.

However, defending champions Be Forward Wanderers will ignite their title defence against a team they have ties with. They play their reserve side, Be Forward Wanderers Reserves.

Last year’s runners up Nyasa Big Bullets will start their campaign against Masters Security.

In the draw, there were 32 teams with 16 coming from the Super League and the other 16 from the three regional leagues.

The draw was led by Jaber Alide from the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) and Carlsberg Senior Brands Manager for Alcoholics Twikale Chirwa.
