A 30-year-old woman has given birth to baby without any private parts, an incident that has left family members puzzled and worried as currently no one knows if the child is a girl or boy.
Published reports indicate that the child, named Gontse, relieves itself through the umbilical cord which is still attached to its body as she/he does not does not have an anus.
Gontse, reported South Africa’s Daily Sun, was born last Saturday at Letlhabile Clinic in South Africa to a woman called Nomvula Zulu.
The paper also claims that the child will be assigned male private parts following as doctors say Gontse could be a boy.
However, the operation was yet to be conducted as of press time, a situation that has left the mother very worried over the child’s well-being.
