Police in the lakeshore district of Nkhatabay have arrested members of opposition Peoples Party (PP) and Progressive Party (DPP) for fighting over party differences.
The two are Annie Nyasulu who is a PP member and Zainabu Shaibu Kasambara who is a DPP cadet.
According to Nkhatabay police public relations officer Ignatius Esau, the gist of the matter is that Nyasulu and Kasambara have for a long time been at loggerheads over their differences in party affiliation.
According to the information that the police have gathered so far, on 30th May 2016 when the new Nkhatabay district hospital was officially being opened by His Excellency Peter Mutharika, the two suspects quarelled.
