The Consumers Association of Malawi (Cama) has decried the shortage of selling points for electricity prepaid units.

Cama Executive Director John Kapito said it is a good initiative to install prepaid meters for Escom customers but insisted that there are a few places where people can access the units.

He added that Escom should have introduced other ways for people to buy the prepaid units such as using their mobile phones or locating the selling points closer to residential areas.
