Christians have been urged to give out the little that they have in order to boost spiritual objectives of their churches.

The remarks were made by Emmanuel Lusinga who was a guest of honour at a fundraising Paper Sunday organised by Cornerstone Church in the Nkhotakota.

“God blesses people who offer for spiritual purpose and for me to reach this stage, I have been helping people and I believe that their prayers took me this far,” said Mr Lusinga who is the Bank Manager of NBS Nkhotakota branch.

In his remarks, Pastor of the church Shamestone Zimba commended all people who attended the Paper Sunday saying they built pillars to the development of the church in the district.

Pastor Zimba added that every Christian has a responsibility to give offerings for God’s sake and urged pastors to be at forefront. He then expressed gratitude to several people for providing the church with financial support.

“I want to specifically thank Mrs Stevens, Mr and Mrs Demerow, and Mr and Mrs Dixon Flux for their massive financial support,” Zimba said.

The fundraising Paper Sunday brought together more people with the aim of raising money to build Cornerstone Church in the district.
