Southern Region Netball League which is sponsored by the Rainbow Paints will kick off this morning at the Blantyre Youth Centre.
The league which is competed by teams from all the districts in the region, will see top giants like Kukoma Diamonds, Thunder Queens, Tigresses and many more teams battling it out for the top prize when the competition come to an end later this years.
The region’s General Secretary Annie Hanjahanja says all is set for the competition to kick off.
“We are almost ready for the campaign to kick off. I am urging all netball lovers to come in their large numbers at the Blantyre Youth Centre to watch exciting talent from our Southern Region teams,” she said.
Diamonds will kickstart their campaign with a game against Shizaela Queens whilst Chilomoni Sisters will battle it out for points against Prison Sisters.
All the matches will be played at BYC from 11 O’clock this morning.
The competition is the biggest annual event in Southern Region Netball league.
