saddened by the lack of books in the country’s schools.

He added that the club believes that the donated books will enhance reading culture among the students at the school since many of them were lacking such books.

On her part, the school’s deputy headteacher Agnes Chibweya expressed gratitude for the donation which she said has come at a right time since the school is struggling to get enough books.

“As a school we are very grateful for this timely donation and we hope this will bring positive results once students have started using them,” she said.

Chibweya added that the books will boost the students’ knowledge and also the teachers’ as they lack reference materials during their lessons.  She assured the club that the school will take care of the books in order to meet the intended purposes saying it was the first time for the school to receive books of such quantity for free.
