Nation of murderers: Pastor arrested for plotting to kill his 2 relatives

Police in Ntchisi district have arrested a Pastor and another man for conspiring to kill his two relatives to help a maize mill business.

According to Public Relations Officer for Ntchisi police station, Gladson M’bumpha, police have identified the two suspects as Leornard Banda aged 24 and Staniel Msasamuka aged 35 who is also a Pastor for Choonadi Synagogue Church.

arrestedHe said the two on June 22 approached Henry Chithyathya Banda who is a head teacher at Phululu primary school in Ntchisi and told him that they can assist in providing people to be used as customer attraction in his two maize mills that are not operational.

The suspects identified the people to be used in the maize mills as Shadreck Chitedze of Chimbiri village and Maxwell Leornard of Chinga village.

The two asked  Chithyathya to pay K2 million in order for them to make sure that Chitedze and Leornard are killed mysteriously.

The headteacher told the suspects to go to his house on June 23 to collect K1 million as part of payment and he later informed the police about the issue.

When they went to the headteacher’s house, the suspects were arrested and investigations carried out revealed that the people to be killed are alive.

The suspects who are sane and married have been charged with attempt to traffic persons contrary to section 21 of the Traffic Act which they admitted and they will appear before court soon.

Both Banda and Msasamuka hails from Chimwaka village T/A Chilooko in Ntchisi district.
