The trend is not changing any time sooner it appears and the public reforms that sought to scrap off the Junior Certificate and MSCE has done little to stop the scourge of examination papers being on the market.
Reports reaching Malawi24 show that students sitting for the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations are sharing a five paged document that contains questions and answers for Biology.
According to information sourced by this publication, the document is believed to be the Biology practical paper which is being written from this morning until the afternoon.
Commenting on the reports, Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) spokesperson Simeon Maganga said the board has received information on the matter from Lilongwe city.
“Yes we have had those reports and currently we are investigating on the matter, very soon we will get to the public on the stand of MANEB after we have verified,” said Maganga.
Maganga added that the board will look at the authenticity of the document that has since been the ‘saviour’ of Biology candidates sitting for the paper today.
Earlier, Active Students Initiative Centre (ASIC) advised candidates who are sitting for this year’s MANEB exams to refrain from cheating. However, the spirit of cheating still hovers among candidates despite authorities getting tough to end the shameful act.
