MK7 million worth of lucrative prizes are up for grabs with the return of the Airtel golf series scheduled to be launched this weekend with a tournament at the Blantyre Sports Club.

About 120 golfers are expected to feature and tee-off from Friday with the prize presentation ceremony to be held later on Saturday at the venue.

Airtel’s Managing Director, Charles Kamoto expressed excitement with the return of the 2016 golf series.

Kamoto disclosed that six tournaments have been lined up  this year.

“We are excited with the return of our golf tournament season. It is out of passion for the sport of golf that we convene these tournaments, but also this sport affords us a platform to interact and network with our clients.” said Kamoto.

Format for the inaugural tournament is individual stableford.

Last year, Airtel golf tournament delighted golfers across the country with various lucrative prizes ranging from smartphones, to golf sets and trophies.
