The Malawi national football team has fallen with just one step on the latest FIFA rankings to be on position 107 in the world.

The Flames were on position 106 last month.

They are 28th in Africa.

The Flames play Zimbabwe on Sunday in the qualifying campaign to the Afcon. The Warriors lie on position, 115 in the world- and of course four places down from the Flames continental rank. (32).

This could be a written boost for the Flames, but they will have to remember very well that they lost at home 1-2 to the Zimbabweans in the same campaign.
