Ritaa overthrows Gwamba

Ritaa

Party time is over for Malawi’s hip hop gospel artists Gwamba after his much talked about Nzeru track failed to guarantee him extension of leadership on the Malawi Music top 100 chart, giving room for the songbird Ritaa to take over the driving seat.

Ritaa takes the lead

Ritaa who is now becoming a household name has ascended to the pole position of the Malawi Music Top 10 chart with her blockbuster, Chapatali. The song features Afro pop king Dan Lu.

The afro beat which was co-produced by Stitch Fray and Lo Budget has taken Malawi by storm having found its place in the chart soon after release. It also controls the  Urban Top chart.

Gwamba has been demoted to third position with his song losing popularity despite its positive message. W-Twice’s Wadusa Pompa remix is on second on the Chart while Piksy rears the Top 10 chart with Angozo.
