Anne Kansiime dates Malawi

Africa’s top female comedian Anne Kansiime from Uganda will mark the genesis of her 2016 African tour in Malawi in early July, Malawi24 can confirm.

Kansiime commands a solid fan base in Malawi among other African countries and she had visited Malawi in 2014. 

She is due to perform on 2nd July at Bingu International Conference Centre Auditorium (BICCA) in the capital Lilongwe.

The comedian yesterday confirmed her coming through her social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. However, she has not given more details pertaining to her coming but the brief message is informative enough to influence preparations of her stage.

“Malawi mulibwangi! The #2016 KansiimeTour is starting in Malawi this year on 2nd July and I just can’t wait,” partially reads Kansiime’s post in broken Chichewa.

Malawians fell in love with her jokes a few years ago. Feedback that has been given through comments on her posts is a clear indication that BICCA is going to be on fire come the 2nd of July. It is argued, if a person cannot laugh when the Ugandan lady is cracking, that person has never laughed before.

She is among the top ten list of funniest comedians Africa can boast about so far.

She holds third position, behind South Africa’s Trevor Noah and Nigeria’s Basketmouth.
