An angry mob in Chikwawa district this morning broke into Makhuwila police station in order to kill a murder suspect.
According to Chikwawa police relations officer Sub inspector Mark Mmunama, the incident happened after the police declined to release a man who is being suspected to have hacked a boy to death.
Mmunama said the angry mob broke windows, doors and the cell where the suspect was being kept.

The mob then managed to overcome the police officers who were on duty and later got into the cell where the man was being kept and started stoning him.
The crowd then got dispersed as some police officers from Chikwawa police station joined their friends to help end the fracas and they managed to rescue the suspect.
Meanwhile, the publicist says they have not yet arrested anyone in connection to the development but the murder suspect is struggling for life at Chikwawa district hospital where he is receiving treatment.

This is the way how we can protect our people with albinism. This chikwawa and nsanje districts thy have their on judgment on those criminals and is good for their security reasons. People are unity that’s why there is no albinism murder reported .
This is not good considering that we need police unit for officers to offer services to the people around the area lets leave the police do their job and not take things into our own hands i plead to my community in TA Makhuwira area to be calm hope my MP for the area will take his role to ensure calm is established in our area.
Allow the SENAs to exercise their rights & responsibilities coz the police are after bail out money inorder to fulfil their taget to the gvt ….
makhuwira police station?
The suspect was arrested and surrendered to Police by members of the community themselves, so why didn’t they kill the murder suspect at the vge b4 taking him to Police?
Thy need to get help and not to rease him
Thats good news, power to the pple.
Y dt u kill that suspect b4 he taken by police ? Asena

No serious Police nowadays, brave chikwawa people!
