President Peter Mutharika has joined Malawians in mourning the death of the great comedian, John Nyanga.
In a message on his Facebook page, Mutharika said Nyanga contributed a lot to Malawi in his role as an agent of social change.

“We commence our week on a sad note as a nation following the passing on of comedian John Nyanga popularly known by his stage name ‘Izeki‘. “Besides being an entertainer, Izeki played a huge role to the society as an educator and agent of social change for over three decades.”
“Gertrude and I join all Malawians in celebrating the life of a man who contributed so much to the country. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” wrote Mutharika.
Late Nyanga passed away yesterday at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre and will be buried tomorrow in the same city.
