One of the analysts Humphrey Mvula said the green belt initiative as well as the mining sector must be improved by giving them more resources.

“They must put money in areas that will improve production such as the green belt initiative, tourism and the mining sector,” said Mvula.

He added that the parliamentarians must also look into improving the plight of businesspeople in the country.

However, leader of opposition Lazarus Chakwera said during the budget session of parliament they want to see measures that government has put in place to improve the hunger situation.

He added that they want to see reforms enacted into law by Parliament so that the country looks ahead in democratic consolidation and economic sustainability.
